A mandatory pre-booking consultation is required to book your session. The consultation is free of charge and is less than an hour of your time. If you choose to proceed, a signed portrait agreement and the non-refundable $100 booking fee is due at the time of booking. Sessions vary in price from client to client depending on their overall product investment. A booking fee is inclusive of the in-studio or on-location session (within the GTA), use of props and/or wardrobe (where applicable), photographer’s time and talent and family shots. Newborn Session
Our specialized Newborn Session captures your precious baby's first days of life creatively. There is nothing more beautiful than newborn photography and the value of preserving your family's most precious moments. Shan is honoured to be considered for this experience and elated to create stunning portraits that celebrate you and the beautiful life you created.
Our Style
We love keeping newborn portraits simple without overpowering them with props or unnatural posing; however, we have a variety of props for those that prefer that style. We also offer fine art composites
Scheduling
We recommend capturing newborn portraits in the first 4-12 days when your baby is very sleepy and flexible. This is the best time to capture those precious curled-up poses. While beautiful images can be taken at any stage, and we work with newborns up to 6 weeks, keep in mind that once beyond those first days, we will not be able to get the sleepy, curled poses. If you want specific poses, please ask about those during your consultation.
Consultation
All newborn sessions are tailored to you and your baby. During the consultation, You will discuss ideas on style, colors, props, and wardrobe. Your thoughts and expectations add value to what we do and help us make sure that you have a relaxed newborn photo session. Once the session is booked, we will send you a Guide with plenty of tips on preparing for your baby’s first photo session.
Wardrobe
Our studio uses natural materials for props and accessories that are gentle to your baby`s skin. Most of the hand knit soft props and wraps are made of 100% natural organic yarn. Everything is washed after each session with detergents that are free of harsh chemicals.
The Session
All newborn sessions are done at our Mississauga studio however, we offer a mobile option as well in the Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Durham & York regions. Studio is equipped with a changing table stocked with organic baby products for your convenience. Your baby's comfort and safety are the top priority
Retouching
Professional photo retouching is included in your newborn session. We specialize in the most comprehensive and detailed editing, and while we focus on a natural look, we will edit to your liking.
Displaying Your Art
Our studio offers high-quality fine art prints presented in a beautiful handmade wooden heirloom box, gorgeous Canvas gallery wraps and collections, and two options of beautiful handmade albums to hold those beautiful memories for a lifetime.
