Newborn photography focuses on preserving the quiet beauty of your baby's first days through soft, styled portraits in my private home studio in Pickering.
Your session is designed to feel calm, warm, and unhurried, with plenty of time for feeding, settling, cuddling, and gentle posing. Wraps, props, and backdrops are thoughtfully prepared for you, so you can simply arrive and enjoy the experience.
What to Expect
Newborn session details
A private home studio in Pickering — only
Every newborn session takes place in my private home studio in Pickering, thoughtfully prepared for a calm, comfortable, and personalized experience. I do not offer newborn sessions at other locations.
The 7–10 day window
The best time for newborn photos is when your baby is 7–10 days old — in that first window they are still very sleepy and naturally curled. That is why I recommend booking during pregnancy: your due date is held in the calendar, and the exact session date is set once your baby arrives. I also happily photograph older newborns — as babies grow beyond those first sleepy days, poses adapt to suit them.
Baby-led pace
Newborn sessions are unhurried and move entirely at your baby's pace, with plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddling. Your baby sets the pace — sessions are never rushed.

Parents and siblings
Parent and immediate family portraits, and sibling portraits where applicable, are included in my higher newborn collections — Sapphire and Diamond. Pearl is a beautiful baby-only session.
Booking
Book during pregnancy to reserve your date. A limited number of newborn sessions are accepted each month so every baby gets an unhurried session. Once your collection is confirmed, your booking proposal will be sent with your contract and booking fee invoice. Your session is officially reserved once the contract is signed and the $100 non-refundable booking fee has been received. A free pre-booking consultation is available if you'd like one — it's completely optional.
